Miller quick-couplers

Quick-coupler is a device historically tied to the Miller trademark

Established as a provider of mobile welding services in 1978, the Miller UK company soon began to manufacture buckets. The five following years saw the group of customers expand from the local to the global level, and by 1989 the company had marketed (in a world premiere) its first quick-coupler attached with pins (Pin-Pick-Up).

This product revolutionized the changeover of buckets and other accessories. The previously time-consuming and hazardous job has thus been made quick, simple and safe.

At present, the company boasts a broad portfolio of quick-couplers for machines from 1 to 200 tonnes, and customers enjoy a much wider choice than before.

Applied in construction, mining and extracting industries, Miller quick-couplers are also the first choice of the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) made by many makers of machinery and by a multitude of happy customers from around the world.

Relying on research & development as its core activities, the company consistently strives to improve all designs of the quick-couplers by adding new safety features and innovative technical innovations.

To make the parameters predictable in relation to loads and stresses, Miller designs its products through processes known as the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and the Finite Element Analysis (FEA). These analyses aim to verify the quality with physical cyclic, destructive and operational tests wherein the parameters of loading are intentionally set much higher than what is encountered in regular operation.

Extensive testing conducted in operations all over Europe and in North America makes the Miller UK earth-moving products a wise choice.

Every single product has thus everything needed: amazing strength, safety features and the ease of use in operation.

Why buy a Miller quick-coupler?

  • It can be attached directly to the existing accessories of the machine;
  • It does not require costly modifications;
  • It is the only quick-coupler whose dependability is proven in long operation;
  • It substantially boosts versatility of the machine and thus shortens the time of investment return. The bucket can be attached classically in the backhoe position or in the face-mode position;
  • It guarantees stronger attachment than other couplers; it is good for demolition jobs, work with hammers and ripping tools;
  • It is manufactured in due observance of the ISO 9001 quality standards;
  • Buckets and/or other accessories can be replaced within seconds;
  • Sophisticated system of safety features has already met the envisaged EU standard;
  • The portfolio covers many mechanical and hydraulic models to choose from; on offer are also automatic quick-couplers usable while the operator stays in the cab;
  • The cast models are lighter and stronger than weldments; their low height (pin-to-the-point dimension) and integrated suspension eye minimize the loss of ripping power;
  • Miller-made quick-couplers are the choice of many reputable machine manufacturers;
  • A detailed manual comes as a matter of course, and the same applies to the assembly and operator training;
  • Universal quick-couplers can pick up attachment  also of other excavators makes by known manufacturers of comparable size;
