ESCO® Vertasys™ – introducing the next generation of tooth systems for construction and mining.

Thanks to our long-standing partnership with ESCO® , we provide our partners with the latest cutting-edge technologies and premium products. ESCO® is a leading designer, developer, and supplier of highly engineered wear-resistant tools and components used in mining, infrastructure development, power generation, aerospace, and industry.

ESCO® was founded in 1913 in Portland, Oregon. For more than a century, customers have turned to the company’s products for greater productivity, expert support, and innovative solutions to their toughest challenges involving wear, impact, corrosion, and heat resistance. The company operates in 19 countries across six continents and owns an extensive network of 28 manufacturing plants and 35 sales and distribution centers.

ESCO® Vertasys™ – introducing the next generation of tooth systems for construction and mining.

With more than 80 years of expertise in wear-resistant products, ESCO® continues to set the performance benchmark for these tools. The Vertasys™ line is ESCO®’s eighth ground-engaging tooth system—and the next step in that legacy. This fully integrated system, featuring an advanced, vertically integrated hammerless locking mechanism, was developed through a customer-driven design process. Built around real-world user needs, it underwent extensive lab analysis, simulations, and demanding field testing to ensure exceptional strength and reliability. The result is a breakthrough tooth system that boosts performance across a wide range of applications.

VERTASYS™ – THE FIRST VERTICALLY INTEGRATED LOCKING SYSTEM

Simplifies tooth installation and removal while boosting overall system reliability.

The Vertasys™ system features an industry-unique locking mechanism. For added reliability, the integrated lock is fully protected inside the tooth body and positioned vertically, providing easy, unobstructed access even next to adjacent wear-resistant edge covers. The result is fast, efficient installation and removal by turning the locking element 90° using a readily available ratchet and hex key.

Improved lock ergonomics

A simple 90° turn makes locking and unlocking easy, so tooth changes are quick and require minimal effort.

Greater reliability

The heavy-duty steel lock body keeps replaceable tooth caps firmly in place and, combined with stronger teeth and adapters, significantly reduces the risk of unplanned downtime.

Keeping dirt and debris out.

An optional debris shield and the lock’s unique sealed design reduce the need for cleaning when changing a tooth.

One lock for a wide range of conditions

Enhanced vertical-lock retention completely eliminates the need for backup keepers in extreme conditions.

Vertasys™ lock proved up to 1.9 times stronger than the Ultralok® system in pull-out tests.

Redesigned adapter lineup

The Vertasys™ adapter selection has been upgraded to lower costs while maintaining top-tier performance. With a focus on penetration and loading efficiency, we developed a single-nose-angle adapter suited for both excavators and loaders—helping reduce the value of on-hand inventory.

Additional savings come from optimized weld lines on the adapter body for faster installation, plus pre-cut single-sided corner adapters that save an average of 30 minutes of install time per bucket. In addition, double-sided cutout corner adapters are available and can be used on either the right or left side.

Lower costs, less inventory, faster installation

  • • Adapters fit both excavators and loaders, minimizing the need for spare parts inventory.
  • • Straight-line welds and pre-cut corners reduce installation time and lower maintenance costs.
  • • Universal, reversible corner adapters with a cutout can be installed on either the right or left side of the bucket.

VERTASYS™ TOOTH TIP SELECTION

The Vertasys™ system offers a complete lineup of tips. All the most popular shapes are available with upgraded profiles for better penetration, higher loading efficiency, and long service life. A key advantage of the new profile is that it directs material flow away from the adapter surface, significantly reducing wear.

TOP-TIER ALLOY PERFORMANCE

ESCO® alloys deliver exceptional hardness and the ideal toughness for working in extreme conditions with heavy abrasion and hard impacts. Vertasys™ teeth provide through-section hardness, averaging more than 10% higher than leading competitive systems – which means fewer tip changes and more uptime.

ESCO® alloys’ 10% higher hardness
can extend service life by up to 20%.

Tested for Longer Service Life

The Vertasys™ system underwent extensive testing to meet customer expectations for greater reliability and longer service life compared with other systems – including earlier ESCO® systems, which are recognized market leaders in the construction and mining industries.

  • • Vertasys™ teeth demonstrated a significant strength increase compared with Ultralok® tips – up to 2.5× in certain key areas.
  • • Across a wide range of load conditions, Vertasys™ adapters delivered an average of 23% greater strength than Ultralok® holders.
  • • Compared with the Ultralok® system, the extra material at the tooth tip on Vertasys™ extends service life by 10 to 12 percent and reduces the number of required maintenance intervals.
